Child and Adolescent Health Service – Mental Health service (CAMHS) provides mental health programs to infants, children and young people up to the age of 17. This includes services in the community and in a hospital setting. Children and families are referred to these services by there treating therapist, GP, specialist or other community organisation. Information and advice about accessing a child adolescent Mental Health Service is available by contacting local CAMHS community clinics.

Referrals are made via CAMHS Connect on 1300 222 647. Young people and their parents are encouraged to seek advice via their GP or current mental health service provider before contacting CAMHS Connect, as they can only provide services to those that meet specific intake criteria.
