Doing the Right Thing
The YourCrew Code of Conduct
Who likes rules? Not us. But given YourCrew works with young people, some of whom may feel quite vulnerable, we need to be rock-solid when it comes to trust. The YourCrew app is considered a 100% safe place and that’s why we ask all members to treat everyone else in the YourCrew community with respect, kindness and compassion.
Here’s all we ask of you:
- Be honest and show integrity;
- Be caring and show diligence in all communications and actions;
- Treat everyone how you'd like to be treated – and never harass anyone;
- Respect and comply with all applicable Australian laws;
- Keep everything confidential as declared by the Oath (see here) – except in an emergency;
- Try to respond to communications and messages quickly (ASAP if it’s urgent)
- Use all our resources for their proper purpose;
- Feel free to give us honest, open feedback – good or bad we genuinely welcome it!
-
Never give false or misleading information.
And a few definite no-no’s:
- Never do anything that incites, advocates or expresses pornography, obscenity, vulgarity, profanity, hatred, bigotry, racism, or gratuitous violence. It’s not you, and it’s definitely not us.
- Never provide or create links to external sites that violate this code of conduct.
- Never threaten, stalk, defame, defraud, degrade, victimise or intimidate an individual or group of individuals for any reason; including on the basis of age, gender, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or race. Or anything really. Just be nice.
- Don’t send 'junk mail', 'spam', 'chain letters', 'pyramid schemes', 'affiliate marketing', or unsolicited commercial advertisement. They’re annoying. And probably illegal.
